Default Head unit that calculates Horespower! How?

Kenwood has a feature called G-analyzer that now measures horsepower from the head units. Now I dont really think that it might be that accurate but I have 2 questions:

1. How is this even possible? Im consufed.

2. Is there anyway to measure the % of error and factor that in? For example lets say it says your car has 200rwhp but on a normal dyno it states 205whp ON THE SAME DAY GIVEN THE SAME CONDITIONS. Can you use that percentage and calcuate it in when you add modifications to get a semi-accurate measurement?

It just has to have something like this in it. You, of course, need to tell it the car's weight, and you'll undoubtedly get different readings with and withough passengers and/or a full gas tank. HPH

Wierd. I dont understand how weight has any bearing on the measurements; its not on any dyno roller or anything.

Weight and distance travelled over time are all you need to know to calculate.

Pioneer actually released the first HU that could do that, watched it work and was pretty slick. Would be even better if you could use it to display info from your AEM...

The s2000 gains under 10hp from any bolt on mod. Most of those gadgets have a +/- 15hp error. Hence, rendering them useless in an s2k. (gtech and such)
