Headlight and gauge cluster questions
Ok, here we go.
Is it possible to mount HID headlight on a non HID car? Same harness?
Do you know if milage and settings for gauges are stored in cluster or in ECU?
If you swap cluster, will the old settings appear on the new one?
And also, is it possible to change from mph to kph on the stock one? How?

1)HID will need a ballast and igniter for it to work.
the second thing is.. the bulb..
so you are better of to get HID kits that comes with ballast and a bulb that would fit the non-hid car.
2) mileages are stored in cluster. and yes. changing cluster means your car will show mileage of the new cluster. For 06+, i am not sure, but mileage information might also be stored on the ECU. You will have to get a professional to update/change mileage.
3) They should show both mph and kph.. don't they? at least the ones in North America does.

1. I mean OEM parts, if I buy used headlights and parts around it, will the factory harness/connexctor maych the new headlights?
I´ve mounted universal before but OEM is OEM.
2. Thanks.
3. You mean showing both all the time or possible to switch with a button?

1. Even if the harness matches, the socket for the bulb would not... honda i think uses d2s. which is not the standard h4, 9004, 9006 type socket.
3. there is a button in north american version that reads kph/mph, press and hold, the cluster switches between mph and km/h

1. Ah, I thought the headlights had internal harnesses with bulb sockets to match the bulb and one big connector on the outside. The big external one could be the same (with some luck).
2. Great news, it´s a US car.
3. Thanks a lot!
