Default Pac Swi-x Install Help

I am trying to install my pac swi. I am unclear on the application guide. Under the s2000 it says "to connect mute function with aftermarket radios with phone mute wire: Using a 12v SPDT relay, connect pin 85 to honda's pin 14. Connect pins 86 and 87 to ground. Connect pin 30 to the phone mute input wire of the new head unit. Connect a 5100 ohm resistor accross the interfaces white and balck wires." I know what honda's pin 14 is but I have no clue about 85,86, and 87. Can someone clue me in or translate this. I have wired stuff before like guages and the water pump for my supercharger but nothing like this.

Because I bought this a while back and didn't feel like paying 80 bucks for the modifry. The only thing I am interested in is having the volume work.

Then you don't need the relay.
