Also on a related note, if anyone wants DRLs on the more fun side, I have a high beam bulb + a Color Changing LED so you can have any color LED as your DRLs.
Mina runs pink for her DRLs while retaining the high beam. The DRL LED is on a separate circuit and wired directly to the battery, as opposed to being controlled by the OEM circuit.

You will need to disconnect the DRL circuit by pulling the fuse for 06+
An RLC set up as a low-pass filter on the DRL drive circuit can smooth that out to a low voltage DC.

I wish I still had time for custom work. :/

It might be a bit less trivial than I thought. Pulling out the service manual schematics, it looks the PWM is implemented on the ground side, not the supply side. (it's a ground interruptor). Turning on high-beams actually connects the bulbs to ground, not to 12V. The power side is always going through the DRL controller, but the ground takes two paths, either through the DRL controller or the High beam switch.

Next time I ever get an oscilloscope near my car I might get the gumption to probe it.

Reviving this thread to provide a solution. We now have a custom harness + LED solution that will allow any S2000 00-05 or 06+ or DRL equipped S2000s to upgrade to LED High Beams and DRLs.

I'm assuming it's PWM (pulse width modulation) from your comment above about being a pulsed signal. That's why I want to put a scope on it to be sure.

The controller boxes are above the driver's toes, above the plastic footguard with circular holes.

Is there anyways to have LED DRL but not have the LED running at full power during DRL mode, only in high beam?

I hope that made sense

Yeah cause... it looks like you're just blinding people with those DRL High Beams

Hi,
I'm trying to purchase most of my front lighting on your website, and I cannot find the DRL's you show in the video on this thread! I can only find the ones for earlier models.

Please show me where they are so I can complete my purchase!

Thanks,

Eric
