Default Headrest Speakers

I'm looking for an upgrade to the stock 2005 Audio system in my car, and was wondering if anyone can comment on the headrest speakers that Honda offers? Are they any good? How hard is the install? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

-Mark

P.S. If anyone knows of a site that sells them cheap too, please let me know.

i have them on MY04 but it was already on when i bought the car. the sound isn't the greatest ive heard, personally i don't think it loud enough especially if u put the top down. i know someone that has the S-pod and they sound alot better, the only thing is that i think it look horrible.

if u look at the headrest speakers from honda it really two small tweeters in each one

im looking to upgrade my headunit sometime soon hopefully the new headunit can improve the sound.

OEM is overrated and overpriced. Get the S-pods. Cheaper and better sound.

The best place to ask these questions is the electronics forum. If you go to electronics forum, read the FAQ's at the top of the forum, you will find most of your possible questions in it.

Quick answer is no, headrest speakers is not good at all at any price. S-pods is much better and cheaper too.

I have em 400.00 from hardtop guy and then 400.00 for my Honda dealer to install
Is it worth it.....no......would i buy the S pods......no.... im not real fond of those either, but im sure they do sound better. So its just up to you if you want to stick
with OEM or aftermarket. But like the other poster said a different head unit
should help.

I think they sound ok but I've never heard anyone else's sound system.

The install took about 4 hours total. The hardest part was getting under the dash to make a few connections, which I had my son do while the seats were out. Fishing the wire through the seats wasn't too bad. Just go slow so you don't mess up the seats. Install cost = $0 & 4 hrs

That link doesn't seem to work? Try this one for Lucid.
