Seriously...put a better amp powering better components in and you won't care about having the speakers from behind.

Good components with power fill the cabin perfectly, or at least well enough not to justify $400.

and we all know an S2000 is the best car for a soundstage!

I love having the rears in my car and I have a 3 way setup in my doors... and yes they are loud... so loud that you need to use earplugs if I turn it up to loud... hehe but I still like having the rears for fill. It helps to balance them out.

I bought the Ebay kit to put speakers in the roll bar. I think it was $100. I have some 5" Pioneers in them and they work great.

I have a pair that are not connected I would sell for much less then 400. Pm me if youre interested.

They were nice with the stock speakers but when I ran new components I didnt want to run more speakers wires to them so they are unconnected.

The ebay ones are shit. I had to spend hours taking them apart and trimming them down to fit right.

For you guys that have the ebay ones- How is the bass with yours? and what speakers do you have in them? I have some nice pioneer speakers and the bass sounds like ass.

You can fit speakers in the rear panels for nice fill... unless you have your seat jammed all the way back because your 6'2". But I've had mine in the rear panels for like 5 years and I think the sound is far better balance... as much as it can be in a convert. Having the speakers so close to your head without an good amount of proper tuning will sound messed up. I've installed speakers both ways in many S2000's and I still feel the rear panels sound better.
