Default Headunit install problem

I bought a Sony Headunit, I got it work but there is a huge gap around the radio (see picture). Anybody know how to fill it?

There should definitely be a rectangular plastic that fits over the HU which will fill that gap.

It did but the one that came with it will only cover 1/3 of the gap, I tried searching for stuff but nothing came up.

Looks like it is too far back...perhaps using the stock metal frame might help if you happened to use the one that was supplied with the HU. Otherwise, try using longer screws to allow the HU to sit further up so the plastic coverplate will fill in the gap area.

Yeah the HU is just sitting to far back. Did you get it figured out.

You can also try different holes on the side of the HU to mount the brackets that hold it to the car. Some have different sets to move the HU in or out.
