Default ? for heavy bass hitters on latch rattle

Need some advice from you hard thumper on what you did to get the rattle out of the trunk latch. I've sound proofed everything else and is stuck on this one. Of course this only happens on the higher level of the bass volume right before the sweet spot. It seems like the trunk is trying to lift up causing the rattle. TIA

A big zip tie around the trunk latch seems to do the trick.

Care to describe it a little more? The latch is mostly plastic but, I think I'm hearing metal. I've got dynamat wrapped around the plastic piece already which does nothing. Can you post pics of how and where you tie wrapped? Thanks

I did the exact same thing as you; I put Dynamat Extreme on the back of the plastic latch but it did nothing. Another member on here suggested I try to put a zip tie around the latch, and even though it didn't seem like that would do anything, I tried it. Works! I didn't have any zip ties big enough to go all the way around the latch so I used a combination of two. Make them go all the way around it, around the whole thing. I'm not at home so I don't have any pictures, sorry. Here's an edited one of my trunk... just experiment, put it all the way around. If it doesn't work, try tighter (or adjust the placement):

Thanks Will. I zip tied what I think you meant then I took of the plastic cover and I even lowered the latch hook. Now I could say "trunk tight" lol. Seems to take car of that. Now I'm cranking even louder and there is something under the car that is rattling. I'll have to wait to find somewhere else I could crank it up and get under the bottom to find this one. Even way out in the driveway it's knocking stuff off shelves in the back of the house lol. Thanks for the tip.
