I am buying roll hoops with built-in speakers out of a MY 06, to put in my MY05.

What is the best way to remove the plastic roll hoops, in order to install the MY 06 hoops with the built-in speakers. Some of the posts I've seen detail basically taking the back part of the cockpit apart, just to remove the plastic hoops.

Hope there is a more straightforward option, short of busting them apart (never a good decision).

 

you basically have to remove the back half to be able to unbolt the metal roll hoops from the rear bulkhead. look for a DIY to install the hard dog/rockstar garage roll hoops and that will show how to do everything short of the extra wiring.
