The DCI does nothing more then send IR signals to the headunit. You must have missed something in the wiring. Check it again. Your headunit should have 2 12+ connections, 1 always on (yellow) and 1 on when the key is in the Assy or On position. Also be sure you have connected the ground.

I would assume that since Lucid only sells the DCI with harness, that you had to replace the harness when you did the install. So when you connected the DCI to the harness you also connected the headunit. I connected mine to the same leads as the headunit for power and ground. You connection must have missed one.

I was ready to rip my hair out. I soldered every wire. I knew 100% that the connections were perfect, and it didnt turn on........I kicked a metal pole, nearly breaking my toes cause I was so pissed off. Oh well....its always the stupid things that I screw up....but then again, which of us is perfect.....

On a lighter note.......to all the people who have an aftermarket HU, without the dash controls....I HIGHLY recommend Lucid's DCI. It works flawlessly, easy as pie to install, and make the whole stereo experience that much better. Spend the money and get it....well worth it.

at least glad to hear that it wasn't anything 'real' that was your problem... i remember once spending 30 minutes completely baffled while trying to figure out why a system wasn't working, only to remember that i had pulled the fuse on the wiring for the amp by the battery before hooking things up...

ha ha...thats nothing....on my friends RSX....we kept blowing the inline fuse, and as soon as we replaced them we kept blowing the amp fuses....

None of us could figure out what the hell was going on, until I noticed that one of my friends reversed the power and ground wire....and naturally, everyone assumed that it was right cause it was "in there"....as after like 6 inline fuses and like 30 amplifier fuses.....we finally solved the problem....OWNAGE on a higher account...
