Heres another, after I installed the Alpine changer I coulden't get it to work. Phoned Crutchfield twice and talked to two differient cust service guys. Then I re read the instrructions. Sudenly I remenberd that in my last car with a pioneer changer the disks went in label side down. In the alpine they go in label side up!! Problem solved!

Heh-heh. I spent my fair share of time in retail electronics hell during college. My favorite was the people that came in the store raising hell because "half my speakers won't play no more"(redneck lingo) or "some of my speakers ain't sayin' nuthin" (ghetto lingo). I would then calmly walk to their car and readjust the fader or balance control to the center position. Damn I love the general public.

i got that one too... i mainly sold home audio, but i had cross trained into auto gear...

one of my absolute favorites was a guy who bought a $2.5k Onkyo/JBL home theater setup and who wanted to bring it back b/c nothing worked... to keep him happy and try to save the sale, i went over to his place to help him diagnose the problem... turns out, he had all the speakers connected together... and i mean... together... rear left to rear right to front right to center to front left to rear left...

did i mention that not a single one of them connected to the receiver?

i won't even begin to mention the RCA mess he made...
