Default Help on bypassing the alarm unit.

Hey guys, I recently installed a HKS Turbo Timer Type-1 BLK and got it to work right. There is one problem though, when I take my keys out the ignition and the turbo timer starts to count down. The thing is I can't arm my car while the turbo timer starts to count down. After the car shuts off then I can arm my car. My question is, is there a way to bypass the alarm unit so I can arm the car while the turbo timer is counting down? Any information concerning this would be greatly appreciated.

can you set the alarm for passive arming, so that it arms after 30-45 seconds? that's a typical option on many aftermarket alarms...

Yeah, I am pretty you can on an aftermarket alarm. I failed to mention that earlier in my post that I have the factory alarm. I am sorry for any confusions. As far as the alarm goes I don't think there is a way to bypass it... I am not sure still waiting on the electrical guru's to comment on this thread. Thx for the responses though pjk3!

oh well...

sorry, but i really know very little about the OEM alarm, so i'm not going to be much help. about the only thing i can imagine you could do would be to set the turbo timer up to send a pulse to the OEM alarm to lock and arm when it shuts down...

don't ask me how to do it though...

your best bet on getting help for this is probably MacGyver or Modifry.
