Help..I'm stuck on a remote start/alarm system
I have a 2006 S2000. I'm installing an alarm/rs/drone mobile.
I've run into some odd wiring issues:
1. every chart I find, including the one I have from compustar, says that the 2 ignition wires are black/yellow and black/red...and they say that the accessory is white/red. However, if I put 12v to the BLACK/RED ignition wire, that's when the HVAC comes on. Oddly enough, none of the wires drop to 0v during starter crank...I have a fluke meter but I guess it could be the meter. I just don't know why the hvac is coming on with the 'ignition' wire..
2. I def do not see a blue/white starter wire anywhere in that ignition harness despite what every chart says.
3. lastly, my chart says LOCK is pink/black and UNLOCK is yellow/green...both are reverse polarity..however, several other charts list 2 wires for unlock...yellow/green and pink/blue...why is this??

I don't have experience installing an alarm but I would say to try and find the s2000 service manual with wiring diagrams in them to find the right color wires. I've tried installing a keypad lock in my first car where I had to splice into my ignition wires. Not having the right wiring diagram made me install incorrectly and START the car when I stepped on the clutch haha. Be careful and goodluck
The starter wire is in the kickpanel under the ECU. You'll know it. its a thick wire.
Also, check for a plug under the dash. (pretty much under the oem radio controls) You'll find the OEM keyless box there.
-There are actually two empty slots on it which when given a ground signal will lock/unlock the doors. No need to grab the wires @ the door haneess or mess with the rev-polarity bullcrap. Just stick your negataive trigger wires into the slots as far as they'll go and secure them into place or if your fancy make your own pins.
I hope this helps. I dont have photos though or wire colors off the top of my head.

I eventually found a black/white starter wire in a harness near the ignition harness. I used that and all is well.
I did end up sticking wires into the harness on the keyless module instead of having a bunch of annoying relays hanging all over the place for the reverse polarity nonsense. i never thought i'd have to do reverse polarity door locks on a honda...and I didn't, so that's good.
I never figured out the ignition/accessory thing. I just hooked up both "ignition circuits" and the claimed "accessory circuit" as the diagram stated. Everything works fine..no check engine lights or anything like that so it's all good.
Thanks for the replies!
