Default Help installing new Head Unit

I just got a JVC SH-99. What am I gonna need to install it? I know how to take the old stereo out, etc ... however what kind of hardware do I need to finish the install? Wiring harness? A kit? (I'm aware of the PAC, but I'm gonna install that later on) Thanks for your help guys.

You need Metra 70-1721 wire harness. As for hardware you'll reuse the side brackets that are on your stock stereo.

Remember to mask off you dash so you don't scratch it.

Circuit city, best buy, and car audio stores. Sells for around $15 at CC last I checked.

I have a bunch on hand but the earliest I could get you one would be wed. if i used priority 2 day mail. I can do you the favor of selling it at cost plus postage and I could pull the extra rear lines you don't need and put in the mute and radio control lines so you can add in your PAC later.

Let me know if i can help out.

Yes, and no. I would recommend you solder everything. (I'm being a hypocrite here, I only soldered the resistor). You could however get away with either crimping (which is very good), or just twisting and taping (very bad, but fast and easy, and actually whay I've done on my last two installs, never had a problem doing this... but Its not recommended).

Good luck....

you'll have to solder the resistor from green to ground. I then wrapped it in tape. If you're afraid of soldering i can do it for you. Im sure i have some 3.3k resistors around.
