Need help accessing the vgs unit. Where is it and how do I get to it? I need to tap into the tack line, Speed line ground and ignition to install a HUD.

 

VGS? You dont have VGS.

 

You mean VSS? The vehicle speed sensor? It is a lead that comes off of the side of the transmission... it can also be accessed from the harnesses that plug into the instrument cluster. I used it for my GPS NAV system... It is a positive voltage pulse that varies (obviously) with speed...

 

I'm trying to install a Defi Heads up display. It calls for tapping into the wires coming from the Engine control unit (VGS-to the company) Unfortunately I,m unable to locate it or better yet how to get to it.

Do they say what the VGS tap is for? What does VGS stand for? I can help you locate it if you can tell me what it does...

Also, I have a Defi heads up Boost guage (actually it's a Turbo Boost + Timer kit)... but it only shows boost in Torr not PSI... would you know if Defi makes a boost kit that displays in PSI?

It's annoying to always have to convert to a US measurement I can understand...
