Default help me diagnose my stereo problem

i think my speaker wires are either falling out or there is a short somewhere. One or both of the front speakers just cuts out sometimes. sometimes i can make it come back by turning the volume up a few notches. also going over bumps makes it cut in or out. Lastly, the speakers rattle sometimes, like the sound when they're blown but then sometimes they're totally fine. Any ideas? I'd like to know what to look for before i start takin things apart.

Defintely sounds like a short in the wires somewhere. As for the rattling, the wires could be hitting the backside of the cone and vibrating against it with the movement of the speaker.

Check to see if the speaker terminals is too close to the metal hole in which they are mounted. If so, insulate them.

Also...open the door panels and make sure the tweeter + and - arent touching. I forgot to tape them and had my right speaker cutting out. Check the + and - everywhere.
