Looks like the original info I had was wrong.

I tried to delet the thread, but the system won' t let me.

Sorry

I am installing the RSX Bos sub and have a question about the wiring. The unit came with the harness intact and it looks odd. This is what I see:

From Amp to connecting Harness

Black to Black in harness
Yellow to Green/White in harness
Purple to Light Green in harness
Orange to White in harness

This is odd because the Yellow on the amp should be the 12V line but at the other end of the connector is a thinner wire which should be a speaker wire.

The Orange speaker wire from the amp appears to be going to the White Output.

Unless the posts are moving for some reason in the connector, this looks very odd.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Thanks,

Hi Jim,

I know what you mean... and yes it gets confusing the further down from the Harness you go towards the amp.

But the wiring diagram that I gave you does work What Bose did from the Harness does get confusing because they spliced/changed wire colors somehow down the way towards the amp.

I can't remember what it actually does... but they split the power somehow... or something like that.

I also think that Bose made this sub for another car and just connected another wiring harness just for the RSX... BUT... what do I know I don't work for BOSE

Just my two cents
