Default Help need to find Pioneer parts....

Hi Guys,

I'm lookin got put a Pioneer head unit in My 2K. I have found out that Pioneer do an adaptor that retains the Dash Controls.

The part numbers in the UK are:-

CDRA201 (for the "smart" bit)
CDRC218 (for the adaptor loom)

So here's the problem...these parts are rare.....
Does anyone have any idea where I may find such parts? I have tried all the dealers I know and even called Pioneer and they all say the parts are "on order" but they cant give me a firm date

Am willing to import from anywhere if needed, but was looking to carry out the work over the Christmas Holidays.

Any thoughts/help much appreciated.

Cheers

Mark.

Could you elaborate on how this adapter works?

Any chance this would work for US Pioneer headunits?

Sorry guys, I have no idea...

I spoke to my dealer who found the part numbers in a brochure, and he hadn't seen one before.

Thanks Kaptain! I can see some parts being ordered for my wife's Focus and I may have to give some thought to my current Alpine set-up in the S2000.....

Mark, I'll ask my contact "in the trade" to see what he can turn up on these parts and will let you know how I get on.

Evidently in Europe, Alpine, Kenwood, Pioneer, and Sony have these types of adapters.

I contacted Pioneer Europe and they sent me a file that indicates how it works. It converts the digital signals to infared signals much like the PAC device.
