Help.. Radio powers on No sound to speakers..
I am having problem getting any sound out of the speakers in my S. When i power on the radio there is a pop sound from the passenger side speaker nothing from the drivers side. I checked the mute switch on the dash that is not an issue. If it was an issue with the drivers side speaker i wouldn't think it would affect the passenger side. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
If its an aftermarket head unit, if you can, pull the deck out and check the connections to the speakers.
If you have aftermarket speakers, take the door panels out and the speakers out to check the connections there as well. Usually where Ive seen issues is improper wiring.
Check your fuses as well, doubt they would be blown though ... 15 A and 10 A if im not mistaken :S ?

When did this start occurring (did the radio work before)? Obviously the right side speaker wires are connected because you get a pop, but the pop is not normal which leads me to think the HU may be the problem. You didn't say if it's an OEM or aftermarket HU or what year car or if you have rear speakers, but there were some early model OEM HU that had the same failure mode (no audio output) and the fix was a new HU.
