Here is what I might get... Opinions wanted.
I have been doing some shopping and want to get your opinions on the setup I plan to have installed. Part of the reasoning for my choices are that I really like the shop that sells this stuff, so I will note where I am buying something they sell instead of a different product. Also, I listen mostly to Pop with some Hip Hop and Country. Bass needs to be full, but not extreme.
Head: Clarion DXZ745MP - The shop sells Kensood, Sony, Pioneer, and Clarion. No alpine, as there is a dealer down the street. This unit plays MP3s and has 4 volt preouts, so I figure it will be fine. Also, the face is flat while on so I don't have to worry about fitment with the door and Modifry makes a DCI for Clarion.
Speakers: MB Quart PCE 216 - I know that these aren't everyone's favs, but I listened to them with this equipment and like them. Also, I have MB Quarts in my Integra and have been happy with those. There is no Focal dealer near me, or I would check them out.
Sub: JL Stealthbox - I have read good and bad things about this unit. The shop has installed several of these with good results. I need to use the tool well as I carry long obejcts often, so the Wlaurent box is not a good option for me.
Amp: JL Audio 300/4 - The fronts will get 75w each and the sub will get the rear channels bridged.
This will be mounted above the fuel filler tube in the trunk.
On a side note, (if you have read this far) how much will 4 sheets of Dynamat weigh? The shop will do the doors for free, and if there will be no adverse results, I think I will let them do it, even though there are better products out there.
All this installed should cost around 2 grand, maybe a little more. I could save more if I installed myself, but I did that last time and don't feel like doing it again. I will add on the DCI myself after the system is installed. Anyway, I didn't want to make a major purchase for the S without getting some opinions first. Thanks for reading!

Sounds like a good system. Can you really fit qa JL audio 300/4 above the fuel filler? Will it get enough ventalation?
Food for thought:
Consider putting the amp in your spare tire well. Look into getting rid of your spare, it ads all kinds of space to your trunk and increases your options. With a sub in the tool well you have nowhere to put your flat.

The thing about putting the amp above the tank is the wiring going into the tank itself, you don't want to damage it at all.
Bill makes a good point, if you have no place to put a flat tire then you might as well ditch the spare tire and use that space.

Interesting about not having room for the flat tire. I had not thought of that. I would likely just call AAA anyhow. Why would I bother with changing the tire when they will tow the car for free (flatbed, I know)? If the stealthbox can be made easily removable, I could put it in the passenger seat in the case of an emergency, making room for the flat. I have had car trouble where there is no cell service recently, so I am leary of not having the option of changing the tire and being on my way. As for the amp, the shop I am using has installed JL 300/4 over the filler pipe in 3 S2K's with no issues reported by the owners, so I am not too worried about doing that. I really like a stealth look, which is why I like the idea of the amp being hidden and the sub being unobtrusive.
