wow. the screen looks really cool. though, from that pic it looks like it's cockeyed in the mount... crooked or whatever. knowing your need for perfection, i'm sure it's a picture thing.

ok -- no chrome ring for the midbass. i tell ya what though, want more work? i just got hit by an idea you might actually like, that would set the mid out in the door... give it that division it's begging for...

what you need to do for the midbass is make a thinish plexi ring that spaces between the suede/door panel and the mounting ring for the speaker. and then subtly light that ring to match everything else. so the midbass would be trimmed in light.

cool idea heh?

now, get to work.

I might try that...ummm... I was going to light but in a different way, but I kinda like that. I'm not putting a grille on it because I like the look of it that way. The door handle glows blue as well as the Alpine window.... I'll have to give that a try. I'm just about done the drivers door pod so I'll have to make a plexi ring and test it and see how it works.

Good idea....but I dont know how I feel about a grill-less woofer in the door. In the s2k, the location where the woofer is, IS EXACTLY where everyone kicks when they get out. Id hate to see someone kick your alpine's cone in.

So I wanted something a little different, so we installed the screen in a place I've never seen anyone else do....
Tim Baillie from HZEmall Customs has done a lcd setup like that many many times.
