Default HID conversion

Thinking of upgrading my AP1 headlights to AP2 headlights. If you do this do you have to purchase AP2 ballast's or can you use AP1 ballast and modify it? Would there be any soldering or wiring involved. Any input is appreciated. Thanks guys

seems like the connects should be the same the Ap1 has ballist and ignitor as one piece the AP2 has seporate pieces that plug together. Make sure that they the plugs that go into the bulbs are the same and you should be good maybe...not sure I like the AP1 setup better anyway so

It can be done and it really gives your car a nice new update.

However, if you can get AP2 headlights with the ballast, you can simply swap them out (plug and play)
