Default ap1 headlights on ap2

Hey guys..i was thinking about swapping my ap2 headlights( in bad condition) for some ap1 headlights..

i just have a question..

-will my ap2 ballasts and ignitors/etc work and fit in the ap1 headlight housing alone? will it be simple plug and play? Or will i be needing the ap1 ballast?

i ask because ive searched for a while now..and its always been the other way around..ap2 headlights on an ap1..and i know what modifications need to be done with the ballasts and etc...so i just wanted to clarify for ap1 headlights on an ap2..it may be a downgrade..but ive always liked the way ap1 headlights looked on an ap2 bumper.

any info would be appreciated.thanks!

only seen it the other way around. Are your headlights cracked broken or just foggy?

no, the headlight is the housing only.

You need a full set of AP1 headlights...ballasts, bulbs, housing, all of it. You really should just trade for a full AP1 set so you don't have to do some ghetto rigging.

I'll add my name to the list of people that will trade you AP1 lights for AP2.

Bulbs are the same, you dont have to change bulbs

OP, make sure you are getting cash + headlights, unless you want to swap with me

if you swap, its direct plug and play, i believe it should be easier to put together ap1 headlights with ap2 ballast because ap2 wire is smaller opening and will fit into the bigger ap1 housing opening. everything will plug up. the only problem you will have is to get some metal strips or something to fab up mounting mounts and to seal up the extra space where the ap2 ballast wires go into the ap1 housing.
