Default HID won't work HELP!

Hi guys,
I'll soon be the proud owner of an s2k. the only problem the s2k has is one of the HIDs isn't working. when you turn them on at first the bulb will flicker a few times, but won't start up. any help would be great. could it be just the bulb or the igniter or the ballest? thanks.

Just had mine fixed because of the same thing -

four trips to the dealership and they finally replaced the ignitor (at first they changed the bulb, and then the ballest and this last time they changed the igniter)

Bass was it all under warrenty? do u know how much just the igniter would cost? the reason i'm asking is because the car is 2000 and i think the extended warrenty is over.

If it flickers, suspect the ballast or ignitor immediately... if they insist changing the bulb, smack them and find someone else.

I'm having a problem also with my HID's.
They just stopped working all of a sudden. The bulbs are new and don't seem burn. All cables a properyl connected.

I dont think the ballast is burnt because all my other lights work. ( High beam, turn signal, and daytime)

Do you guys think it could be running light control relay under the dash?

What's this about the ignitor?

got mine back and it turned out to be poor connections - the dealer changed all the "pins" on all the plugs that connect the headlight (now they did change everything else first)

S2G-Unit - both lights go out? if so i would suspect maybe the switch is not working -

Well to rap it up, I changed to 04 headlights with 01 ballasts.

When I picked up my car from the garage only the drivers side worked. The passenger side would flicker when trying to turn on the HID, make some buzzing noise and never come on.

Thne about a month later for no reason @ all my HID just stopped working completely.

Sounds like general electrical trouble or moisture intrusion in your ballast.

I had aftermarket HIDs on my Type R. One light would flicker/die. I opened up the ballast case and found an electrolytic slurry coating everything inside. I'm happy I didn't have a fire.
