I might be interested, depending on the final cost and especially when they would be ready.

I, too, might be interested depending on the final cost and the ease of installation.

I'm interested too, but $200 seems a little high...especially since the homelink unit itself is only $70 on their website.

who sells it for $70? There was a group buy last year where the homelink unit was nearly $150 - and then you still needed to custom mount it in the visor.

I saw this page: http://www.homelink.com/shop/shop3.tml

I guess I didn't read the text well enough. It looks like that's not the actual transmitter, but some sort of receiver which I don't understand what you would need it for.

Can anyone find prices on their site for the transmitter?

Here's a quote from the Homelink web site:

"At this time, Johnson Controls does not offer HomeLink in the aftermarket.
Please contact your local dealer for HomeLink availability."

They want you to buy the option in a new vehicle.

In other words, you can not simply go out and buy a Homelink transmitter from the manufacturer
and install it in your car.

What they are selling for $70 is a receiver to add to an opener! Not a transmitter for inside the car.

Anyway, these Homelink modules are expensive! And, it's not cheap to have an auto upholsterer
re-cover them.

I'm not out to get rich with these things!! I've done a few of them and figured others here
would want one. If you want one great! If not, no worries!!!

I will need your visors as an exchange for the completed set that I send to you.

I bought a Cadillac GM module on Ebay for $50 brand new - came from a dealer. It is the angled version. I removed the passenger side visor and mounted it against the cross pillar.

It works with my old gate and my new 100 bazillion code Liftmaster. After having a Homelink module in my other vehicle for several years it was a pet peave not to have one in the S2000. And NO ONE notices where I put it until I point it out.

Here is a picture with a flash:

I like the visor setup. Here is another interesting product for opening garages as well.
