You really need to check out the Blitsafe ipod interface, I've researched a lot of interfaces and this one is the simplest to install, use, and the least expensive. Just plug it in the back of the stock radio, and you can control everything from the Ipod as normal. One would think that controlling from the radio would be better, but without extra buttons or a large screen, it's actually more difficult to use that way.
See my post above.

scottsheck,
Have any of the interfaces you have researched worked both ways? Meaning can you change your current song via radio controls (left side controls or headunit) or by changing it on your iPod? This seems like the best interface to me. I like to shuffle my iPod and when a song comes on that I may not feel like listening to, I would like to just be able to hit the "channel" button (left controls) to change the song without being bothered to look at my iPod. Same goes for when I am trying to find a song, I may not want to "channel up" with the radio buttons, but just scroll there on my iPod. I guess what I'm getting at is have you found an interface that gives you the best of both worlds? I was under the assumption that is what DICE, NEO & USA SPEC PA11-HON2 afford you.

Basically, the radio will control the Ipod almost like the CD changer. You can set up playlists on your Ipod (or Itunes) by naming it HONDA1, HONDA2, and so on. When you "change the CD" on the head unit controls it changes the playlists. I believe CD#6 contains all of songs on your Ipod. You can fast forward, rewind, shuffle, etc. Sounds pretty good to me.
I'll post a new message after I get my installed and see how it's working.
How is the USA spec unit working? I installed one in my gf's Civic, but I was lead to believe it would let the radio control the Ipod OR let you control the Ipod directly. It has dipswitches that let you select either of those options. Unless, this USA spec unit is a lot different than the unit for my gf's '04 Civic.
Please tell me how your install went. I am looking to buy a USA spec one as well.

At our S2K meet last night, a couple of guys were helping me with the install. Now, when it works, it's great. You CAN control the Ipod from both the radio and the Ipod itself but the wiring that it came with was very flimsy. Before I was able to tuck the unit in the back of the radio, it started to cut in & out. Whenever I moved the unit, the wiring would get loose enough to disconnect the Ipod so it was kinda frustrating. In the end, I decided to return the unit (just got off the phone with the place). I figure for a couple hundred bucks more, I can have a great HU from Alpine and do the same.
