Default Hondata Question...

Hey everyone ,

I did not know where to pust this question but this seemed like a good place to start. I have had experience's with K-Pro and Hondata S200 and S300. My question is this:

Would I be able to by a K-pro Hondata set-up used (from a K series) and run it in the S? If not what would I need to make it work?

I dont expect the map to work with the S, but I want to know if its a better idea to pick up a hondata system from an RSX owner that is getting rid of it (since the S hondata system comes with an RSX ECU and that pushes up the price of it). Once I get the RSX ECU with Hondata's chip in it, I should just need the Harness and tuning... right or wrong?

Please explain why this would not work or if it would what else would be needed besides the RSX ECU w/ Hondata plus harness and sensors that Hondata say's are required from a dealer o2 and etc..

Thank you for any insight , I am trying to lighten the impact on my bank account and still get a top shelf tuning device.

If I cant go this route I may have to go with an HKS F-Con and get a jar of vaseline

This question or something very similar was asked and answered on the Hondata.net forum. Let me see if I can find it...

I already have a RSX Kpro for my swapped K20 EG civic, can I use that KPRO for my S2000-00 and only buy the wiring harness needed from you?
The answer seems to be YES. Send the ECU to a dealer to be modified.

Look at the bottom of page 2 and top of page 3. Hondata KPro Forum

Thanks for your help d-j

Any ideas on what it would cost to have them reset it or reprogram it? I did not any info about it on their site.

Thank you again for the help

No problem.
No idea on the cost. Find a dealer in your area.

Let everyone know if it works or not.

Sounds like a great set but why not go ahead and get the AEM?
