Default Stupid question...

Can you swap out a Ap2 ECU with the Ap1 Ecu and then use a hondata flashpro to tune it? I assume no but damn, the hondata k-pro is pricy at 2100- with the sensors needed, and i need obd2 here in NY for inspection. Do i have any other options? i know emanage and aem are not obd2 compliant and will not pass nys inspection

I believe you can use haltech and pass obd2. Not sure about other question but I assume no otherwise people would have done it by now.

simple answer is no. You can't swap in a dbw ap2 ecu to run flashpro without spending a ton of money on the other things necessary. ( I looked into this at one point.)

as far as i know, the only option is kpro to keep obd2 for MY00-05. All other standalones (inculding haltech) will not be obd2 compliant. I think you are referring to the dual ecu harness that Evans may or may not be releasing.

Im not recommending E-Manage, but FYI it will not interfere with OBD2 for inspection.

I didn't think the Haltech was obd2 compliant without the use of the dual harness that may/may not be released.

I'm pretty sure Evans already has a haltech harness. I've been begging him to do the same for the AEM EMS so I can be OBDII compliant. My car would pass the sniffer with flying colors on E85.
