Default HOOKING UP SPOD'S

I am thinking about spod's, I have a set of mbquart 5.25 coax refernce speakers from my old car. I have the factory head unit in the car with a jl audio 300x2 running quart qsd 6.25 up front. Can I just hook up the 5.25 to the factory speaker outs for the rear or do I need a new amp because I have an amp running the fronts? Thanks

This is going to depend on how loud you want your headrest mounted speakers to be. You can power them off the rear channel outputs from your stock HU. Since these speakers are so close to your head, you may just want them for rear fill anyhow in which case the stock HU power should be sufficient.

Running SPODS off HU power and amping front channels is actually a good idea. It allows the rears to be fill, instead of blowing your head off.
