Hey guys, on the newer s2k's they instituted DRL. I'm trying to figure out if it would be possible to switch out the bulbs for PIAA ultra-white bulbs, or any other white light that would better flow with the HIDs...

I'm sure i should probably read my owners manual, but i'm curious to see if anyone has done this mod hopefully there are pics..

 

I think they are just your regular high-beams running on lower wattage. I believe that when you turn on your HIDS, DRL turn off automatically. I don't think you can get them much whiter since that'll require them to be brighter, and that will blind everyone in front of you =)

I've replaced my DRL bulbs with raybrigs white sonics. It still not even close to HID unless I turn on the highbeams.

Better off gettin' some pure yellows or somethin'.

Problem is DRL only use 50% of power. So the light output pretty much sucks.
