Default how do you remove the center console

Ok guys I think this will be the last of the noob questions. How do you remove the center console without breaking the clips that hold it down.

The easiest way to run wires back is to simply yank the clips between the carpet and the lower part of the console. There is a bunch of space there or just behind the carpet that doesn't require going under the console itself.

That said, there are 8 clips that hold the console in place - one pair at the front, one just behind the shifter boot and 2 sets in the rectangular area behind. Remove the shift knob, pry it up carefully and you are done. There are idiot proof plugs for the console wiring (hazard lights and convertible top).
