Default How do you remove the trunk lid springs?

Can someone walk me through this? Honda makes a special tool for this called a torsion bar tool but I don't have one. Does anyone out there know how to remove the trunk lid springs without the torsion bar tool?

Thanks for any insights.

unless you want to lose an eye, get the tool. it's only like 10 bucks. or go to your local dealer and borrow one for 10 minutes, since swapping springs won't take longer than that.

Why did you hurt yourself or something. You don't need that tool. A screwdriver works just fine. Try it sometime.

Wow.... take the tools away from that guy... I've done it a ton of times no problem.

Course he did ask how to do it without the tool
