i can't test it and i don't have the manuals either. i thought that maybe if i open the window, set the alarm and unlock the door to see if i can trip it. that didn't work too well. unlocking the door from the inside will just disable the alarm and thus doesn't trip it. i'm pretty sure this is the stock alarm that was put in. i'm not even sure if the alarm has the panic feature either. i tried holding on the lock key for who knows how long and it doesn't trip the panic feature.

 

You may not actually have the OEM alarm. It is an option. As for the "panic" feature, you should get the car's horn to activate if you are outside of the car and hold the red "panic" strip on the key fob for about 4-5 seconds (unless you don't have the panic button on your key fob.

 

maybe it's not the stock alarm. it doesn't have the red panic button. so the question still remains, how do i test the alarm to make sure it works --- besides trying to bust in hehe.

i tried the unlocking method. the moment i unlock the door from the inside, it deactivated the alarm. though i didn't wait for the 30 seconds delay. i'll try that later tonight to see if it works. i also tried knocking on the windshield and that doesn't trip it either.

the remote control only have lock, unlock and trunk opening buttons. not sure if it's oem or not.

 

Are you sure you have an alarm? How do you know? If you do, it may have been disconnected.

 

sorry i didn't make it clear. the alarm activates when i press the lock button twice. the first time, the doors will lock and the tail and headlights flashed. the second time i pressed it, the same thing happened and the sound of the horn went off. i guess to me that pretty said that i have an alarm. though i don't see any led light inside the vehicle to tell me that the alarm is active.

i c. most vehicle that i owned in the past usually does this plus it has the led light. i was wondering why this vehicle sounded the horn but no led light. this explains it. guess i'll have to get an alarm... well maybe after i put in dj qube's mod.
