ouch... that's gotta hurt if u need to replace them. u can probably buy a 2nd s2000 for replacing just those 2 items alone.

off topic for this... i was going to start a new topic for head units that will be able to control the oem cd changer. i did some searches but found most wanting new cd changers to work with stock head unit. just wondering if you know any off the back. otherwise, i'll start a new topic.

Sorry, my only expertise in this area is installing rear speakers using the stock head unit.
For your quest, you're best to post a new thread in the "Electronics" forum. Good luck!

you might want to look into WLaurent's alarm. for $175, it reuses the factory remotes, adds full alarm flexibility, shock sensors, microwave perimeter intrusion, and is fairly easy to install for anyone handy w/ a soldering iron. i think there are something like 9 wires you splice in, and William has them all nicely located and labeled....

here's his site with info on the alarm and options.

and here's the thread about the alarm.

William's been in and out of late due to a recent loss in his family. if you PM him, i'm sure he'll get back to you asap. otherwise, there are a lot of us on here w/ this alarm, and i'm sure we can answer many questions.
