How effective are subs in the trunk
I recently purchased a MY00 S2K not even a week ago. Since then I've been trying to decide if it would be worth installing my subs in the trunk. Coming from a Hatchback with 2 10's in it, I can't imagine they would sound nearly as good, in terms of SQ, being completely sealed off in the back. Am I mistaken by this? or should I start looking to mount some 8's in a cabin?
I think it's totally worth it, and SQ is pretty good all things considered.
but i speak for myself, so my advice would be to test it, by listening to a car with a sub.
The next time we have a meet, try to find someone, like myself, who has a sub in the trunk. give it a good long listen. (I'll even let you play your own cds.) If it sounds like something you would want, buy a sub for the trunk. I know that there a are a few Florida folks that have some bass.

you won't hear hardly anything from a sub with the top down and going 70mph
And you have no clue what your talking about... Please don't give advice on something you clearly know nothing about!
