Maybe you should try some acoustic filler in your enclosure(s). It's a more elegant approach and has real physics behind it. First, try stuffing old pillows near your subs somewhat tightly. Here's some more DIY:

You probably have it wired wrong or the gain turned way down on your amp. Who tuned it for you?

I have the 10" JL in the tool well. It will stop your heart at 70 top down. Check your setup.

i guess my amp sucks. its 250x4 with one channel driving each door speaker and the jl 10w3 dual 2 ohm wired in series, bridged in 4 ohm mono to the amp

What brand do you have Squeezer? That's a really big amp? It must have cost you a ton. It must be setup wrong somewhere. Are yo positive its wire right?
