Default How to filter out high pitches?

Ive had my system in for about 3 months now and have tried all sorts of things but i cant seem to adjust my system right. The problem im having is that in some songs that have like a high pitch singer the sound seems to be really loud, its as if the high pitch needs to be filtered out. Its hard to explain it almost likes theres alooot of treble. On my amp it has a high pass and low pass filter as well as my head unit. I can customize the equalizer on my head unit as well but i dont know anything about the equalizer adjustments.

i'd start with the equalizer on the head unit.
check the manual and look for treble.
follow the instructions and lower the frequency.
