I have two amps to choose from. 50x2 +200x1 and 75x4. Haven't decided yet. How much watts is the perfect amount used to power these puppies. What do you have them xed-over at? Can you even play with the H/P x-over with these Components?

Ummm...I'm using a RF 115x2 rms amp to power my perfect 6.1's. I think that's about the right amount of power. I have the x/o turned off basically and just using the x/o that came with the 6.1's

I am runnig 150 each from my jl300/2. Seems enuff but i still get distortion at full volume. I dont know if it because of speakers cant handle anymore power or my gain is set low so they dont get enuff power.

75-100 should be more than enough if it's all setup properly.

Elaborate on the term "set-up properly" I thought you just wire them in and adjust your x-over. How do I set everything up once it's installed?

could be too much power to the speakers or clipping distortion from the amp or head unit.

trick'd. check out this link for tons of info on system setup... just know that a lot of it is biased to sell you more gear.

I am really curious to check out your setup. I cant bear the pain to listen to my system past 25 on the volume knob with my gains at about 75%.

You must have some diesel ear drums.

Well I dont know about my gains, hmm i will check when i go home. I get distortion past 25 though, ofcourse i have to turn the sub down to get the volume 25 since its not nice to have your ribs rubbing each other while trying to adjust the volume.
Oh and I got drummer's ears. I always talk loud, listen to loud music and when I talk over the phone I almost scream since I feel like they cant hear me since i cant hear my self.
