Default How much you got in your "system"

I have the chance of getting my S2k "decked out" by a local speed shop for $1500. I know this is a deal but I've never spent this much for "sound" before. How much have you spent? Do I need to graduate from WalMart speakers and step out into the real world?

about $1100, self-installed... probably $1500+ with installation if I had a shop do it.

Even if you don't include the first set of speakers that I got rid of and replaced, I am around that.

HU == $200
Modifry DCI == $100
Front Speakers == $200
Rear Speakers == $90
S-Pods == $240
Sub == $300
5 Channel Amp == $250
Wiring == $100
Amp Rack == $50
iPod == $250
iPod interface == $100

Total == $1880

There are some sundries that are not included in that total either. Like speaker adapters, wiring harness, sound deadener, etc.

(BTW -- The iPod is specificially for the S2000, so I incuded it here. I no longer have an antenna, so I need the iPod.)

I know that MANY have spent WAY more than I have.

$1500 means nothing without an equipment list. Ask them what they are going to put in for that $1500.

just put in some polk db6500 today and rear speakers, looks like I'll be doing it myself piece by piece. I like to work on my own car, just don't have much time these days to do it. SDP was gonna hook me up with HU,Sirius,amp,custom subs and speakers... they do business with me so I'm sure it would of screamed!! But then I would of missed the satisfaction of doing it myself
