Well, the quick answer is this:

Open the radio door, grab hold of it, and YANK on it. This will detach the bottom clips on the panel. Then work your way around the door panel (that includes the vents) removing it. Then there are four screws holding the HU in place.

Of course the next questions you are going to have involve how to retain the dash controls, which wires go where, how to add rear speakers, ect ,ect, ect. Check out the search feature. There is a wealth of information here, if you are willing to spend a little time to mine for it.

Good luck, and let us know how the swap works for you.

Thanks very much! The only thing now is I need a new radio wiring harness even though Pioneer actually make the standard stereo, I also need one of the Lucids DCis but they just informed me today that after 8 weeks of waiting they've decided not to send international orders out, are there any other alternatives?

Try DJ Qube for your dash controls. His mod uses your remote from your Hu and incorporates it INTO the dash controller. It adds functionality and controls the HU with IR. No wiring to the HU at all.

Lucid has an adapter for the S2000, which is suposed to be specific to the car. I'm not sure how, I did not check it wire for wire, but I am sure it has to do with the dash controls. I did recieve an adapter from Crutchfield when I bought my HU. I would think any local electronics store that sells car audio would have an adapter that would allow you to hook up your HU.

In a message posted by Lucid, he mentioned fraud from internation orders causing problems with taking these orders. I believe he mentioned that if you call them directly they may still take the international order.

JW, sorry that you got caught up in the middle of that mix. Ruexp67 is correct about the fraud and i just mentioned it in another thread. We could go the Paypal route for billing and UPS for shipping intl. Drop a note in regards to this. Brian or Jenn may have told you otherwise.

The radio removal manual should be on www.lucidauto.com/guides

Lucid

Thanks for your reply.

Do you also have a harness which will go between the standard wiring loom and my Pioneer head unit which deosnt require any splicing of wires?

Many thanks.

Most all harnesses for this car will require connection of the loom but that is done outside of the car.

To source out a PnP for S2000 to Pioneer wouldn't be worth the $ or effort. We did do this a while back with Sonys though
