How well does G-Tech work?

How well does G-Tech work?
I've heard people mention the G-Tech unit and have been to their website. Sounds like a great gizmo, but I am sceptical that an accelerometer and an integrator can really determine the speed, acceleration, and distance of the car accurately. Does anyone have experience with this?
I would recommend a test...set it to measure 0-60, then speed up and slow down a few times staying below 60. Then, speed up slowly to 60 and see if the G-Tech detects 60 at about the same time as the speedo. If it works well and is accurate I'd love to get one. Their web page claims their readings are different than the trap readings at a track because their readings are more accurate than the track. Sounds suspicious to me.

many have already tested it... it works.
mine was dead on in the 1/4 times and the mph is higher as it should be by about 2mph for a car with trapspeed of about 85-88mph. BTW this is due to the fact that at the track the speed is take of the last 60'(?) where as the speed of gtech is right at 1/4 mile.

The G-tech seems accurate enough from my experience.
The real good thing is that even if it's not 100% accurate it should be accurate relative to itself. So if you run a 6.5 0-60 launching at 6,500 then launch at 7,500 and get a 5.5 0-60 you should be confident that you just knocked a second off of your time.
I did numerous runs with the G-tech when I first had it, and I learned that I couldn't get under 6.0 without launching over 7,000 RPMs...something that I wouldn't have known if I hadn't used the G-tech. I was able to improve my launches and get a 5.4. Most of my runs were in the 6 second range, with some ugly ones in the 7 second range when I first started timing. Practice makes perfect.
On that same note, when I got the supercharger I G-tech'ed quite a bit to see the performance gains. The one thing that I noticed was that even with terrible launches I pulled a 5.6 or lower every single time. I got down to 5.1, and after that I was satisfied enough that I haven't Gtech'ed it in a while.
So the Gtech can definitely help you quantify RPM drop differences as well as modification performance. Even if it isn't 100% accurate, even though I personally think it is really really close.
