Thumbs up How in the world do I wire my alarm?!

Hey guys does anyone know how to wire an alarm for the s?? I just dont want to pay like $200 for someone to do it!

- I know all the alarms are different but I guess most of them should connect to the same places on the car shouldnt they?
- It has Door triggers, window rool up, cut off port, trunk release, the "central door locking system", and of course the battery.

^^^ Where are all these outputs on the car?^^^

- Oh yeah, whats the difference between the "central lock" and the door trigger?

Also, I got a proximity sensor that the plug goes right into the brain of the alarm but then the shock sensor that originally went into the alarm cant go in there... should I splice the wires or what?

Any info would be greatley appreciated.

Thanks!

This may help you: http://www.darksidesubs.com/alarm/S2000ALARM.htm

However, from the sounds of it you are way over your head "- This one has to connect to the ACC (what is that?), " - I would strongly recommend that you take it to someone or get someone to help you that knows what they are doing.

An alarm is only as good as its install.

Yes, I totally agree with the above statement. The install is only as good as the install. It is very very true!!

Whoooooaa...

I agree, take it to a pro. You can cost yourself WAAAAAY over $200 if you screw up the install.

Trust me unless you love laying down on your back in the cramped spaces of the S pay someone else to do it. I did my own alarm and its such a PITA that I would have gladly spent the extra $200 to have someone else wire it for me.

You also did a compustar

That is NOT a $200 dollar alarm to install....not in an s2k anyway. A regular alarm, just have someone do it, so that it works, and is done right. Post in your local regional forum to get the best shop to install it for you.
