Default how are you wiring door components in 00-01?

I searched but didn't see any info. How are you 00-01 folks mounting your components in the front? Buying 02+ door panels, or what?

thanks

I just installed my Infinity 6.1 perfects this past weekend. Here's where I installed the Tweeters. Used my Dremmel to cut the holes. The crossovers and woofers I installed as explained in the FAQ's link.

I can mold them into your a-pillers like this for you.

Depending on your speaker I can either surface mount them:

Or I can inset them into the pillers like this:

I made brackets and mounted them to the door cups to see how things sounded. The door cups are $4.21 dealer cost so if you need to replace them, no biggie.

I like the way they sound but am not terribly impressed with how they look.

I mounted the crossover where the foam thing is on the back of the door panel and then cut out the foam to make a tight fit. I would take a picture to show you but don't want to take the door panel off again. Just a minor pain.

Just out of curiousity, how much are the molded tweeters going for? Do you need my a-pillar covers or can I send you mine when I get the molded set? I can send the flush-mount cups from my Polk db6500s if that would make things easier.
