I would just use a few pieces of angle iron, and attach them through the convertible tray (remove and attach from inside the car, then replace tray).

Got any examples you can show me? I'd like to make it easy to remove, as well so I can pull everything out for the races.

Thanks again!

In that case, you may want to use some sort of snap system....Get a piece of angle iron (looks like an L with holes in it...can be found at just about any hardware store) ans secure it to the car using screws. You can buy a set of snaps from a fabric store. I would weld / solder one end of the snap to the bracket, and the other (glued) to the back of your amp rack. That way, you can just yank on it (pretty hard), and it will unsnap for easy removal.

This was just off the top of my head. If anyone has a better idea, feel free..
