Glad to see you're back, and that you'll have more time to spend on car audio. The subwoofer and fiberglass box you set me up with are fantastic! I'm sure there are many present and future members of this site that will benefit from your services.

horns are usually some sort of compression drivers and sends its sound through a molded horn body, or wave guide. to see pictures of a typical horn, go here:

now you may be asking, hwere the heck do I install these?, the most common place is undert he dash, as in this guy's install:
http://www.caraudioplanet.com/imagelib/liv...930-800x600.jpg
he has idq 6s or 8s (cant tell exactly) in kicks, and most likely a set of ID horns, the piece ytou see extendiing down from the dash is a custom grille cover peice that allows the horns to blend cosmetically witht he car. now, if oyu notice, it does take away about 1.5 inch of shin room. but certain cars, this is a lot worse than other cars, with my old toyota truck, the hrons hung down low enough that it hit my shin ALOT and was pretty annoying, but with my friends honda, it doesnt even come close to touching him. sure it takes a little bit of time to get used to them, but they usually do not interfer with the space where you feet travels when shifting and driving.
a few advantages of horns:
almost guranteed precise imaging
high efficiency, usually artound 105-115db, that means if you put more than 30 watts to them, you will probably go deaf.
covers more frequency range, good horns can go from 600hz all the way up, basicallya midrange and tweet in one. all you need is a midbass..
disadvantages:
more expenesive usually than average speakers
harder to mount
harder to tune, some say horns needs a lot more equalization to smooth out dips and peaks (very debated topic)
i wouldnt mind trying out a set on an s2000, I have a pair of horn bodies sitting at home, Iwill probably bring it to MR's place today and see how well they fit.

shaner,
congrats on the set up, yes, dash speakers can also be used to achieve good imaging, but in my opinion, much harder, and it is also a lot harder to find a car that would make this set up work with any major modification to the dash.
the volkwagen new beetle, with its uh...kitchen shelf dash, is a perfect example, perhaps the s2000 is also a good candidate for dash pods? I will check into that.
