I have a NeoIon (also sold as the "peripheral" at best buy) in my S and I really like it. You can change songs via the radio controls and it charges the ipod.
I have a Dension Ice Link in my girlfriend's Accord and it is even better. Not only can you change songs, but you can also change playlists via the radio controls. The interface is a little slower, but not so bad that it is a bother. Additionally, the Dension starts playing the Ipod as soon as you turn on the car where you previously left off... the Neo requires you to hit play on the physical IPod... a minor incovenience that gets majorly annoying after a while. I think I will switch over to the dension on my S2K eventually.

It doesn't look like the Peripheral/NeoIon product is compatible with S2000 later than about 2003 (Crutchfiled and Peripheral Electronics (http://www.peripheralelectronics.com/), check the installation instructions). Crutchfield had another item listed but out of stock. However the http://www.mp3yourcar.com/ page says it is compatible??? The mp3yourcar video is useful for any radio installation though as they use the S2000 as the 'demo' car. I think I'll stay with the Honda Link purchase/order with installation of the iPod in the trunk (for now). The Honda Link apparently disables the iPod controls so having the iPod in trunk won't matter much ;-). And I usually listen to podcasts in sequence or music shuffled so this shouldn't be a problem. There is software that adds items to the iTunes music but it sounds like it requires manual synching. I'll have to explore some more after it arrives and I get it working.
