I Pod integration
I think you should consider changing your HU to something more capable. I didn't want to do it, but I ended up changing because I wanted to use my ipod in the car without paying for the ridiculous OEM music link kit. There are not too many options that work with the OEM system, but this did very well. I changed to Alpine 9856 and I couldn't be happier. This model, and a few others, are apparently intended to be used with ipods. Through the use of a single connection, the ipod is charged and you can listen to music. There is no delay, and it allows you to search through your library just as if you were using your ipod. The best part is the sound is so much better. I was not really an audiophile, but now I am thinking about upgrading speakers as well.

One of my OEM speakers on the right side sounds like the cone is cracked. I don't use the radio much but it is irritating to have this problem on a one year old car.

i have a unit made by Blitzsafe that I didnt use due to buying an entirely new HU. It hardwires to the CD changer port of the stock HU... connects to ipod w/ data cable
