Default ICE upgrade

I am looking into upgrading my ICE system with a little decent sound.
I currently have OEM 04 door cards with OEM speakers. Boston RC420 4

I would advise for a 10" against an 8". Much richer, fuller sound. If you would like one amp for all...

Get a 4 channel PMA series Alphasonik amp (125x4 @ 4ohms) for the fronts and the sub.

For the sub, I would recommend (what I have, and 30 other people) an Alphasonik 800 series 10" or a Boston sub. Alpha IMHO hits harder, and is more suited for an s2000.....the boston is a bit better in a quieter car, like a lexus, where accuracy is more important than sheer power.

For speakers, you have a wide amount of choices from Focal, Infinity, Alpine, but in your case, since you seem to be fond of Bostons (and you should be, great product) the Boston Pros would suit you well, or even the Z6s.

PM Darkknight1999 (John) about the sub/box and amplifier, he is a member, sponsor, and knows his stuff. Tell him Dave sent you, and he will wash your car for free.

Dave pretty much hit it on the head. there are other options out there for gear, but if you stick w/ the reputable brands, it is hard to go wrong.

don't get the Boston Z6 speakers... way too little bang for the buck. they are great speakers, but are wasted on the S. and they cost a boatload iirc...

So let me see if I understood right

I need to plug the 4 RC-outputs coming out of my headunit to a 4 channel Amp.
Install front speakers to first and second channel on the Amp, Install the Sub to third and forth channel bridged to the Amp. Drive the rear speakers direct form the headunit.

Correct
