I can confirm that the new X305S does work with the current Modifry DCI Wired unit for Alpines. Just installed mine today and it works great! The knob sticks out but I can still close the radio door. Pandora is pretty awesome.

I'm using this radio in my s2000 right now - I LOVE the features of this deck so far (been installed 1 week now).
Sound quality is amazing and the USB input is so handy. Goodbye iPod and CD's forever!
Still working on building/finishing the custom smoked plexi radio door and the radio will have a new home. The goal is to be able to see the display without folding the radio door down each time.
