Sending my car in to have a JL Amp and Sub installed and thought that maybe I should have the Tweeters relocated elsewhere. I currently have Focal 165 s in the stock locations in the doors.

If you have an '02 I wouldn't move them, but if you have a 00/01 the A-pillar is much better not only can you get a symmetrical fit, but an A-pillar is a lot cheaper to replace than a door panel, should you sell the car.

Car is an 02 but I would like to place them in the best position possible so cutting into the A Pillars doesn't bother me as long as that is the best location.

ideally you want your tweeters as close to your woofers as possible.

I agree Rico. But if you have a non-tweeter 01/00 model, than the A-pillars work better I think.

I have the same focals in an 02. I'm using the stock tweeter location BUT what I did is I modified (by cutting) the stock tweeter pods so that now the drivers side tweeter is tilted towards the passenger seat and the pasenger side towards drivers's seat. The drivers side was easy to do, but the passenger side was not easy - they are both shaped differently. With this "mod", the imaging is much much better! :-)

If your tweeters are small enough, the triangular plastic at the front edge of the door windows is an excellent compromise between the doors and the A-pillars.
